Jango is a voice companion. People connect outside services to it by asking, and it then uses those services' tools for them. A connector is a remote server that speaks the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), the same standard Claude and ChatGPT use. Build one, submit it here, and once it is approved Jango's users can find it by asking “what can I connect?”.
What a connector is
A remote MCP server at a public https:// address on port 443, using Streamable HTTP (or SSE). No local or desktop servers.
It answers initialize and tools/list, and offers at most 25 tools.
Each tool's description says what it does and what to pass, and nothing else. Descriptions that try to steer the assistant are refused by an automatic check.
No tools that collect passwords, payment card or identity details.
Sign-in options
None: for public information (prices, timetables, documentation). Anyone can call it.
An access key per user: each person enters their own key on Jango's Connected services screen; it is sent to your server as Authorization: Bearer <key>. Answer a missing or wrong key with HTTP 401.
OAuth sign-in pages are not supported yet.
What we ask for
Name, a one-sentence description, and who makes it.
The MCP address.
Your privacy policy address: what a user asks through your service reaches you.
A contact email, used only about the listing.
One to three categories.
The tool list: we read it from your server; if it needs a key, list the tool names yourself.
How it is reviewed
We check that the address answers, read its tools, and run a safety check on their descriptions.
A person reviews it. Only approved connectors appear in Jango's directory.
Listing never connects it for anyone: each user is told what it does and must say yes, and can disconnect at any time.
Everything your server returns is treated as outside content: information for the assistant, never instructions. If its tools change after approval, they are checked again and it is disconnected if they no longer pass.
Start with this prompt
Paste it into Claude or ChatGPT, fill in the two lines in brackets, and it will scaffold a connector for you.
